Business Representative for Local 230
My functions are to serve all the membership of
Local 230 and attend to the daily affairs and operations of the local union under the supervision of the Business Manager, in
addition to keeping up with the changes in the piping industry, including
new technology
and the ever changing world of training. I attend many seminars
just to keep up with all the changes so we can update our Journeyman and
Apprentices on new
techniques.
My duties also include being a trustee to the
Apprentice and Journeyman Training Trust. Serving as a Labor Committee
Member on the San Diego and Imperial Counties Pipe Trades Joint
Apprenticeship Committee. A seated delegate to the San Diego County
Building and Construction Trades Council and to the Imperial Valley. I
serve as a delegate to the District Council #16 and on many community
college welding advisory committees. I attend many Seminars to keep up
with the new
