Hello,

My Name is Warren Ates; I am the Plumber & HVAC Business Representative for Local 230. I have been an officer for Local 230 for approximately 15 years. I have served many different committees through out the years. I am committed to serving all our members with their working needs.

I have 25 years in the plumbing and piping industry. As the Plumber and HVAC Business Representative I represent various segments of our trade. They include HVAC installation and service, new construction, and service plumbing. During the past several years the construction industry in San Diego and across the country has experienced tremendous growth. Local 230 has been able to supply its contractors the skilled crafts people to complete their projects on time and on budget. Much of this success can be attributed to Local 230’s 100 years of service to San Diego’s construction industry. Our apprenticeship and journeyman training programs have been in place for many years. In addition, to help supplement our workforce during peak construction periods, we have a nationwide network of 400 other plumbing and piping local unions that can provide us with skilled crafts people.

 The members of the United Association are highly skilled Plumbers, Pipefitters, Welders and Service Technicians. Local 230 has anticipated continued growth in the industry and is committed to supplying our contactors with the qualified personnel to fill all their needs.
